Louis Vuitton's classic Papillon luggage bag was created in 1966 by Henry Racamier, the husband of Odile Vuitton, the fourth-generation heir of the Louis Vuitton family. "Papillon" means "butterfly" in French , and the idea comes from the two handles of the bag that look like a butterfly spreading its wings when unfolded. It is also nicknamed "Papillon" in China.

Papillon has been loved since its debut. Not only did it frequently appear in the popular American TV series "Bewitched" in the 1960s, and was certified as a heroine bag, but it has also been continuously updated and iterated over the past few decades and has experienced multiple discontinuations and reprints. It has also launched limited collaboration series with artists such as Takashi Murakami and Yayoi Kusama. The vintage model is also regarded as one of the hot items in the second-hand market.

The rounded side part has a certain hardness, which supports the bag and prevents it from deforming. It is compact and has enough storage space. The original double handles are replaced with a detachable metal chain + wide shoulder strap combination, and the overall style is more modern and the shape is richer.

· Box making process·

As a bag with the word "Trunk" in its name, the Papillon Trunk combines many iconic trunk-making elements - the S-lock buckle is inspired by the classic "Tumbler buckle". LV invented the single lock system with two spring buckles in 1886, and customized private locks with special numbers for customers, so that all luggage of each guest can be opened and closed with the same key.The opening and closing method is very simple and can be easily operated with one hand. Just push the two round buttons on the lock towards the center, and the triangular metal piece will automatically pop open with a crisp "click" sound.

The body of the bag is made of Monogram canvas , which is lightweight, waterproof and wear-resistant. The calfskin trim is neatly embossed with the LV logo and reinforced with metal rivets , also adhering to the traditional box-making process.

· How do I carry this bag? ·
The bag is equipped with a 55cm long metal chain and a wide shoulder strap with adjustable length , both of which are detachable and fixed to both sides of the bag through the side metal rings, so you can switch between different styles such as clutch, handbag, underarm bag, crossbody bag , etc. The flexible carrying method and small and exquisite shape inject a contemporary atmosphere into this bag.

What can this bag hold?
Although it has a cylindrical appearance, the Papillon Trunk does not look bulky visually, and can easily hold relatively thick items such as air cushion powder, which is more than it looks. The lining is made of suede to protect the items from scratches, and the edges and sides are reinforced with leather to keep the bag in perfect shape.

We put an iPhone X, LV Horizon wireless headphones, a coin purse, tissues, pens, keys and perfume in the bag. With these essential items, you can travel light.
